Since its foundation in 1932, the Bogner brand has stood for luxury: the combination of functionality, athleticism, fashion and premium quality. For the Bogner family, it is inherently important to consider the needs of the society, environment and employees. Coming from this tradition, season after season we do our best to consider social, ethical and environmental factors as priorities throughout our strategical planning.
Production safety and especially concerns regarding the use of toxic chemicals are high priorities for Bogner. Our manufacturers comply with international chemical and production safety guidelines within the textile industry in every aspect, from start to finish. Accordingly, Bogner is one of the co-founders of the “Textile Garments Dialogue”, an industry association campaigning for environmentally friendly and sustainable production techniques.
In cooperation with production consultants and local agencies, the critical assessment of all potential production partners takes environmental, social and qualitative aspects into account as well as regular monitoring and documentation. Additionally, all contractual arrangements with producers emphasize Article I of the International Labor Organization Code of Conduct concerning workers’ rights. In addition to maintaining the highest standards regarding harmful substances from our suppliers, we regularly have our raw materials and finished products tested to a considerable extent by independently certified external testing institutes.
